Three solar technologies compete today: PERC (legacy), TOPCon (transitional), and HJT (future). Here is why AGAIC POWER chose HJT for the BSM715 series.
Temperature: The Silent Efficiency Killer
Every degree above 25°C reduces output. HJT loses only 0.26%/°C vs TOPCon's 0.30%/°C and PERC's 0.35%/°C. In a 35°C climate, that is 2.6% loss vs 3.5% — and it compounds annually.
Bifaciality: Free Energy from the Ground
HJT achieves 90–95% bifaciality (back-side efficiency relative to front). TOPCon: 80–85%. PERC: 65–75%. On a reflective surface, HJT gains 10–25% extra yield from the rear side.
Manufacturing & Carbon
HJT requires only 4 main manufacturing steps (vs 8 for TOPCon) at lower temperatures (<200°C vs >800°C). Result: carbon footprint under 400 kgCO₂/kW vs ~500 for TOPCon. For ESG-conscious projects, this matters.
